The Scholarship Committee works to empower our youth to achieve academic success in higher education. Through fundraising efforts, the Scholarship Committee provides students with financial resources needed for a college degree.
The Greensboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship Program offers four annual needs-based scholarship awards. Scholarships are available to students attending a public, private or parochial high school within the service areas of the Greensboro Alumnae Chapter: Greensboro/Guilford County, Jamestown, Oak Ridge, Climax, Summerfield, McLeansville, Pleasant Garden, Sedalia, Gibsonville, Whitsett and Brown Summit.
Eligible students must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale, be a U.S. citizen and a African-American female enrolled in a full-time program at an accredited college, university, or an institution of equivalent accreditation during the 2019-2020 academic year. Verification of enrollment must be provided on college letterhead.
Our chapter will be giving away three awards (The Illustrious 22 Award (2) and the GAC Fortitude Service Award).
